hmm, i'm quite found of swindle. But if you fancy another mold, i'd go for either ravage or grimlock. But word of warning if u do chose grimlock, he's a pain to transform.

True, saying that i thought they should have left that mold alone, but thats because i would have prefered grimlock to be out on his own.

I only get the Binaltech versions (apart from alternator Smokescreen from argos), but as far as they go, the Jazz/Meister one is my fave by a mile.

In fact, he's my favourite Transformer that I own.

Ya, mine's kinda like that, plus I had to position the blocks at the rear of the feet in such a way that he can balance.

What about Sideswipe?
I don't like those ones where you can't see much of the car alt in robot mode. Windcharger and Tracks are the same in that respect too.

The feet are a little weird. You have to fold out that hinged plastic piece underneath each foot. The bumper/toes sit right on it. I found this also solves any balance problems caused by the wheels. Looks strange, but that seems to be the way to do it.

Jazz or Grimlock are a dead tie in my book. But I like the challenge of difficult transformations.

As much as I love Shockwave. His Alternator alt mode is blah. I don't see Shockie as a Mazda at all.

I wish they use more concept cars like they did for Sideswipe. Now thats an alt that caught my attention. *bounces* So happy I got him on a discount during the first time he came out. Silverstreak is another beauty especially in his robot mode.

Sideswipe's robot mode didn't grab my attention. The legs look odd... very odd.

Take your based in america then? Unfortunatley we have been able to get hold of him over here. Always thought the should have called him road rage as a tribute to the e hobby version of tracks. To me swerve reminds me of the the gears recolour.

Arrow the Binaltech I own...

I hated the Grimlock Binaltech, he's the worst of the bunch for me. First up my rabid geewun-nessness can't let me accept the fact he isn't a dino anymore (I happen to think the Grimster's dino mode is as iconic as Opti's blue 'n' red semi mode), secondly, apart from his head, which looks ace, I think he makes for a pretty spacky-looking robot. Thirdly, his feet - ugh! The sword is nice, though.

Sideswipe... hmmm... mixed feelings about him. Totally agree about the legs. Whassup with them? He just doesn't look Sideswipey enough for me, having said that, he and Sunstreaker (when I get the Streakmeister) will be the centerpieces in my Binaltech collection.

Smokescreen & Bluestreak - awesome looking 'bots. My faves so far after Jazz. Still think Prowl should have used this mould.

Hound... He's okay, but I hate his big flappy feet!

Tracks (I have the blue version, of course)... fabby looking 'bot. Love him. Legs look a tad skinny though.

I'm hard to please, aren't I?

I think they're all great - it's tough to choose a winner.

My latest is Grimmy, and I think he looks as hard as nails. But then Shockers is cool too. And so's Jazz, Hound and Swindle...argghh

But in all round coolness - including the look of the alt mode - I'd probably have to go for Sideswipe. He's just cool.

WE need shoulder-based missile launchers for Sideswipe and Smokescreen and Wheeljack.
And all the others that had 'em in the old days too. Not a rabid GeeWunner either, before anyone starts.

yup, in america. A few of my friends are collectors, and they have yet to find it as well. I just saw it at my local target last week and thought it looked cool. Target randomness owns.

HOUND is by far my favorite, Wheeljack comes in second, with Swindle/Smokescreen coming in third.. I like Prowl too, so when that Alt. comes out, it might bump off Swindle/Smokescreen off 3rd place.

I really wish I could like Shockwave, but that Alt. car mode just doesn't fit him much.

I dont think Alternators were designed to be actual playthings, but more of a detailed version of how transformers would actually disguise themselves, hence the extra complex transform. So bearing that in mind...
Robot mode -Grimlock, so cool with the twin blaster, and you can stand him in a football pose for the real intimidation factor, plus the aggresive stance suits grimlock's fighter personality (why he wins over wheeljack)
Car mode - Dead End - clean lines, very sleek viper, definitely a road warrior.

But I dont know out of you people, but, I have Smokes, Swipe, Hound, grimmy, silverstreak and the white meister. while they're all cool... does anyone else find they sort of start all looking the same when put next to each other?

I have all of the US release alternator up to this point (minus the new decepticon, cant find tht thing yet, but i do have crack team of toy hunters on the case). Anyhoo all of them are on two shelves, I have to say they do tend to blend together, on close inspection they are fairly different, but from a far they blend quite a bit. I suppose its because of the similarities in the joint, the molding in the legs and arms, the fact that front end of the cars are almost all the robotic chest. But I love the things, waiting for more

Oh I agree I love them, even imported a couple of mine, as Canada both Walmart and TRU, in my area at least, have stopped stocking alternators altogether. But I hear they will be reintroducing them for the xmas season, so all is well. Got to get Shock-laser-blast-wave

Shock-laser-blast-wave

*LOL*

I like that. Sounds cool.

I still say they can be abit more creative with chosing some concept cars for their line or at least got for other cars other than just doing repaints.

I would love to see Cadillac Cien Tf or even better a Mclaren F1 or Nissan Skyline.

Skyline GTR are fast and affordable. Corvettes are overrated american fart cans.

Well, to me it's Shockwave, but the Japanese version is LaserWave, and the American version is Shockblast. Cmon, who do they think they're fooling...

And hey, I like Corvettes. I'd like to see people's faces if a Nissan Skyline GTR was the pace car for the indy 500.

And I'd love to know where you live, saying skylines are affordable in relation to corvettes.

Hialeah, Florida. *dances*

Corvettes are cheaper if you buy them old or used. Just like a Skyline.
I rather pay $50,000 on a car that I know can beat a race. Unfortunately its illegal to use in the states due to it being so freakin fast. If going to ship one the idoits that make it legal jack up it's hp.Thus making it too slow. But a Skyline is faster than a Corvette. The Corvette knows when its beaten and the Skyline doesn't need to be noisey. Lots of rookie racers think that noise equal speed. *shakes head* Bunch of amatures. I perfer to be the silent racer. That way I could fool and surprise people. I don't need to be a fart can to win a race.

Corvettes can range from $44,000 up to $65,000 it's retail price.
Skyline in the states already legalized and used $20,000 to $30,000 (that's if you know what a Skyline is, there are some cars who have the name Skyline on it and it's not even the real deal). It's only expensive if you are stupid enough to buy one off the factory and get it legalized by Motorrx which is $80,000.

I could do is just buy one that is already legalized for me and its used by someone pay only $20,000 to $30,000 and fit its motor so that it gets back to it's original factory speed. Which isn't alot. I'll spend about $40,000 in total for the car, but the the look on peoples faces when they eat my dust... Priceless.

Would be bad @$$ to see one at the Indy 500. Over at Japan those things are the talk of the town. Really propular among Nissan fans and owners.
